Privacy Policy

PSI is an ESP and psychic-training game for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information PSI collects, why, and the choices you have. PSI is operated by Collab168 Pty Ltd (ABN 70 641 079 067, ACN 641 079 067), New South Wales, Australia. You can contact us at hello@playpsi.com.

The short version

PSI has no user accounts. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, or phone number to use the app. We do collect an anonymous device identifier and certain gameplay, subscription, and app-performance data so the game, leaderboards, subscriptions, and app reliability can work.

Device identifiers and any optional demographics are personal data. We do not sell data, run advertising, or use information to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information we collect

Anonymous device identifier

On installation, PSI generates a random 122-bit UUID called a deviceId. It identifies that installation to our backend and is stored only on your device and in our database. It is not your name, email address, phone number, or a hardware advertising identifier. It resets if you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

Optional profile information

You may choose a codename or handle for public leaderboards. If you choose one, other players can see it on the leaderboard.

You may also choose to provide your country and a coarse age range. Both are optional and can be skipped indefinitely. We do not ask for your date of birth and do not collect information from people under 13.

Gameplay records

We sync training sessions, guesses, outcomes, and scores to our Convex backend. We use these records to operate the game and leaderboards, and to measure gameplay results against chance baselines.

Analytics and crash diagnostics

We use PostHog for product analytics and error tracking. This can include screens viewed, funnel events such as a session starting, a paywall being viewed, or a purchase completing, and crash stack traces. PostHog processes this data in the United States. We do not include your raw deviceId or optional demographics in PostHog event payloads.

PostHog offers a session replay feature that records on-screen activity. It is turned off in the version of PSI we publish to the App Store, and no replay is recorded from your device.

Website analytics

On playpsi.com we use PostHog and Google Analytics to count visits, see which links and campaigns send people to the site, and count clicks on the app store badges. PostHog runs without cookies or local storage. Google Analytics sets cookies, except for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, where it runs without them. Neither tool is used for advertising.

Push notifications

If you turn on reminders, your device mints a push token and we store it so we can tell you a streak is at risk or that someone passed you on a leaderboard. Delivery runs through Expo's push service, which receives the token and the text of the notification. You can revoke this at any time in your device's notification settings.

Purchases and subscriptions

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and store receipt data. Apple or Google processes payment through the App Store or Google Play; we never receive or store your payment card details.

Audio

PSI generates its training tones on your device. Its meditation and music tracks are a different matter: the app fetches a catalog of them and can download tracks to your device for offline listening. We collect nothing from your microphone.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve PSI, maintain leaderboards, manage subscriptions, diagnose crashes, understand aggregate product usage, prevent misuse, and respond to support requests. We do not use it for advertising or to build advertising profiles.

No advertising or tracking

PSI has no advertising and no data-broker relationships. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. For app-store privacy labels, none of the information described here is used to track you.

Party mode

Party mode is played by passing one phone around a table. The names everyone enters stay on that phone so the next party can offer them again, and so the app can show who leads across the tables played on it. Those names never leave the device and never reach our backend. You can remove one by holding its name on the party setup screen, and Delete my data removes all of them.

Deleting your information

In the app, go to Profile → Data & privacy and use Delete my data. That erases your codename, your runs and best scores, your friend code and friend links, and your calibration records from our backend, and wipes the app's storage on your device. It cannot be undone.

Two things sit outside that path. PostHog holds analytics events, and RevenueCat holds your customer record and purchase history. Neither one ever receives your device id, in any form. Each keys on its own anonymous identifier that we never see, so we have no way to find your records at either company. The support reference in the app resolves against our own backend and nowhere else.

Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Apple owns your billing, so cancel through your App Store subscription settings.

If you reinstall PSI or clear its app storage without using Delete my data, the old identifier is orphaned and the new installation receives a new one. Reinstalling does not itself delete the old backend records; use the in-app path or email us.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to run PSI and its leaderboards, subject to the default retention practices of our processors. Gameplay rows are kept while the leaderboard needs them. We may keep limited information where necessary for legal obligations, dispute resolution, security, or enforcing our agreements.

Children

PSI is for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact hello@playpsi.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PSI changes or legal requirements evolve. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice in the app where appropriate.
